The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) helps ensure that the Further Education and Training sector develops world class leaders, teachers and trainers. We work across the whole FE sector and are funded by Government grant, commercial contracts, professional membership (The Society for Education and Training - SET) and accreditation fees and a variety of other business activities.
We are now looking to appoint Performance Manager (Maternity Cover) who will achieve high performance levels and meet grant and contract expectations by managing, monitoring and capacity building subcontractors, enabling them to achieve contractual, financial and performance targets.
The role will report into the National Head of Performance Management and be responsible for working closely with other teams within ETF to ensure strong tie up between design, development, engagement and communications in deliver of CPD programmes. The post will also be responsible for delivery on grants/contracts, supporting staff and developing key contractual relationships. In addition the role holder will be involved in managing subcontractors across multiple contracts/grant work.
Finally the post will be responsible for driving performance improvements and managing delivery in line with funder expectations in terms of programme and project management, which will help in contributing towards procurement activity for the selection of partners and engaging with the Quality team to make sure that delivery meets quality expectations.
The successful candidate will:
- Be educated to degree level or equivalent
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification
- Be able to manage and drive performance improvement in grant or contract activity through subcontractors/partners
- Have the ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of the FE and training sector
- Ability to reach decisions and judgments based upon a sound evidence base
- Have excellent oral, written and presentation skills
- Have the ability to build and maintain networks and senior level relationships across the sector
